Building on its active involvement in several national mission projects, IIT aims to further increase the visibility of its contributions and enhance their effectiveness by leveraging its locational advantages, such as access to more manpower and specialized laboratories. By strengthening mission objectives through collaborations with Kolkata-based partners, IIT seeks to support the growth of the Innovation & Incubation Center (IIC) and improve its standing in ARIIA rankings. To achieve these goals, ongoing national mission projects will identify synergies with Research Park (RP) activities, define their scope, and assess resource needs. IIT will also continue exploring collaboration opportunities with companies and Centers of Excellence (CoEs) to advance research initiatives like the National Digital Library of India, Future of Cities, Digital Earth, and Urban Observatory projects.
